We recently held an auction of books from Bernard Verdcourt’s and Helen Rhoden’s libraries.
Books that were unsold in the auction are now being placed on sale
Books that were unsold in the auction are now being placed on sale
- at a 20% discount on the auction estimate price to CS members, and
- at the auction estimate price to non-CS members.
- The books are listed and described in good faith; but they are basically sold “as is”. Please note that most books have book plates and/or owner’s signatures, and some have library stamps; these have not been noted in the catalogue.
- Buyers will be responsible for paying for postage or carriage; but to reduce cost we will if asked do our best to bring books to meetings so that buyers can collect them there.
- Payment must be received before books can be sent to or collected by buyers.
- We will try to take good care of the books, but once payment has been received they become the property of the bidder and CS cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage thereafter.
- If any buyer is disappointed with a book that they have bought, they may return it and receive a refund provided they tell us within 7 days of receipt, and return the book in the same condition in which it was sent or handed to them. The buyer will pay for postage/carriage of returned books.
- If you wish to buy a book, or want further information about any item, please contact Bas Payne, Wildbanks, Dunsford, Exeter, EX6 7AA or e-mail him at bas.payne@gmail.com.
