Field Meetings

Field meetings are usually held between late March and early November, and last from one to five days. In the past the field meetings have frequently been held in Great Britain, although we are intending to arrange more in both Northern Ireland and Eire, now that we have secured the necessary cover from our public liability insurers.
The meetings often support the Society's Marine and  Non-Marine Censuses, local recording schemes, or conservation-minded landowners, but they may also include such activities as visits to fossil mollusc locations.
The programme of meetings is arranged by the Programme Secretary, Ron Boyce, 447c Wokingham Road, Earley, Reading, Berkshire RG6 7EL, Email: who will be happy to receive any offers to lead field meetings (or suggestions for speakers for indoor meetings).

Reports of recent field meetings are available from the menu on the left. The reports are in pdf (Portable Document Format) for which you will require Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to read them. Most modern operating systems come with it included, but if yours does not, it is available as a free download by clicking on this logo. Click for free download
