Littorina saxatilis (Olivi, 1792)

Photo:

Longitudinal black band each side of tentacle. Pale gill visible in dark mantle cavity. Ovoviviparous; this one gave birth to baby snails in captivity. Body also white, yellow, brown. Moderate wave exposure ecotype from N. Wirral, Cheshire.
